“The most mature choreographic work in the program can be found in Reischl’s piece, “Temporary Space”. This is an absolute tour de force of composition and form, a work with a sculptural presence. Movement combinations explode out of thin air, and as you start to enjoy a particular formation, the dancers break off and contort their way into a new phrase. Wooden boxes mark the space, yet are continually pushed on to redesign the stage. The viewer is never quite allowed to get hold of what is happening on stage, but rather than create frustration, it produces a mouth-watering need to reach closer.”
