“State disrupted comes late in the program and provides the evening’s most satisfying and self-contained work. To music by Michiel Jansen and spoken fragments of commentary, choreographer Georg Reischl moves four dancers through complex groupings: identities blur, are lost, then found, but states alter, all is new and strange and blurs again. The words reflect what we see, soflty but also clipped and short-“ he lifts her; she drops him”- but they reach deep and movingly into the dance and the dancing. When it ended, I wished it had not.”
